History
The plan of starting a school to serve society was conceived in the mind of a businessman, and the same plan was delivered as a matriculation school in June 1995.
Our school was founded by Thiru.M.K.V.K.Ganesan during the year 1995 with a strength of 65 students under the name of M.K.V.Kandasamy Nadar Matriculation School at Tenkasi. Having great passion for education, he spent more time in developing the school. Though he is no longer with us, his spirit and interest can be found in his son, Thiru.M.K.V.K.G.Balamurugan and correspondent of the school.
Now the school has grown as a matriculation higher secondary school were 2060 students are being educated by 90 faculty members. The Correspondent, the Principal and their staff members work to fulfill the founder's objective.

I am privileged to welcome each one of you to the portal of the MKVK Matric. Hr. Sec. School, Tenkasi. Education is an ongoing process in each and every human being who want to scale higher heights. I strongly believe that learning is not what we study in books alone. Learning should lead a student from what he or she is today to a better knowledgeable and humane person for tomorrow. Our commitment at the MKVK Hr. Sec. School is to provide a safe and intellectually challenging environment that will empower our students to become innovative thinkers, creative problem solvers and inspired learners, well-prepared to be successful in the present century. Having been profoundly inspired by the motto, Duty, Discipline and Devotion, Thiru. MKV Kandasawmy established this institution in 1995. He never left a stone unturned to bring excellence in the institution and our Correspondent Dr. Babu continued the effort and thus it is one of the best schools in Tenkasi District. As we are celebrating our Silver Jubilee year, we are very proud to say that our students are role models in every walk of life of the society today. We have a team of very dedicated staff and enthusiastic parents who work together for the betterment of our students. The school endeavors with the best conceivable effort to inculcate strong values along with academics and extra-curricular activities in the children. Thus, we endeavor to make every individual into a self-reliant and independent citizen. I am confident that the MKVKans would grow stronger each day by adding a new leaf to the grandeur of the school.
Management
The school is run by M.K.V.K Charities since 1995. From 1995 to 2002, Thiru M.K.V.K.Ganesan was the correspondent. After his death on November 15, 2002, his son Mr.M.K.V.K.G.Balamurugan also called Babu, took change as correspondent.
