Mr. Loisel, unlike Mrs. Matilda, was a simple man who was happy and content with his life. He took great care of Matilda when she was worried, and he did not abandon her even during a crisis, such as when she lost her necklace. He searched for the necklace with all his might, and when he couldn't find it, he compensated it by giving up ten years of his privileged, luxurious existence.
