3. Poem Introduction

The poem "The Last Bargain" by Rabindranath Tagore deals around the theme of freedom and self-satisfaction that a human being needs. It appears as a very simple poem, as it talks about a person in search of employment. But when one delves deep, it is revealed that it talks about the simple philosophy of life. A bargain is an agreement in which both parties promise to do something for each other. When both parties feel that they have been given a fair deal, they make the agreement.
