3. Introduction to the lesson, "The Snake and the Mirror"

The story "The Snake and the Mirror" was written by Vaikom Muhammad Basheer. The story was originally written in the Malayalam language and was translated into English by V.Abdulla. The story is about a homeopathic doctor's personal experiences. He was a poor bachelor who was in his initial days of medical practice in this story. One day, it happened that he encountered a Cobra snake in his room. The doctor had almost gone to the verge of death. Was he rescued from the clutches of Cobra? If so, how?
