Sachin Tendulkar's experiences from his life that is being narrated in the lesson 'Learning the Game' can be seen as an inspiring story that every young person should learn. There are a lot of people in the world who have achieved great success, but Sachin stands apart as he started his journey of cricket from a very young age. The first lesson that one can learn is that every sacrifice pays off in the end. As an eleven-year-old boy, there would have been instances when his classmates and friends would have teased him for not playing with them or having fun like any other boy his age is supposed to have. But he spent most of his time working and building his skills in the ground and travelling to and fro. It shows that if one is willing to give up on the temporary fun, in the long run, they would be rewarded. It also shows that one must not be easily carried away by the external circumstances. For example, if Sachin had worried about being embarrassed about his dress or the fact that he had to stand in the bus, and give up on his dreams, then the world would not have its god of cricket today. It also shows us that one must shape his personality according to the career that one chooses. This should be a career that one loves and is passionate about, as all the struggles would make sense in the end then. It is also important to have a good mentor and guide like Sachin had Achrekar sir.
