The UK
There are plenty of landmarks in the UK that are worth visiting. If you are into ancient history of the British Isles, you definitely should go and see Stonehenge. It's a prehistoric monument consisting of vertical standing stones. It's still unclear how people could built it.
Stonehenge is orientated towards the sunrise on the summer solstice, so it must have been a kind of a clock. The monument is one of British cultural symbols, and it's legally protected.
Loch Ness is a famous lake in Scotland (the word 'loch' is literally translated as 'lake'). There are other lakes in the area, some of them larger and deeper, but only Loch Ness is believed to be the place where a monster lives. Rumors about the creature have been there since the middle of the VI century, but nobody has found any solid proof of Nessie's existence. Still, some people believe that the mysterious monster lives somewhere underwater in Loch Ness.
Mild and humid British climate is good for plants, and Britain is called the garden kingdom for a reason — there are really plenty of amazing gardens. Biddulph Grange Garden in Staffordshire, Tresco Abbey Gardens, Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal Water Garden in North Yorkshire... Take your pick and enjoy!
