If the following equations have two equal roots, then find the value of '

$x^2 + ax + 9 = 0$

$a = 6$ or $a = -6$
$a = 4$ or $a = -4$
$a = 16$ or $a = -16$
$a = \sqrt{6}$ or $a = -\sqrt{6}$

2.

$9x^2 + ax + 2 = 0$

$a = 3 \sqrt{4}$ or $a = -3 \sqrt{4}$
$a = 2 \sqrt{6}$ or $a = -2 \sqrt{6}$
$a = 4 \sqrt{3}$ or $a = -4 \sqrt{3}$
$a = 6 \sqrt{2}$ or $a = -6 \sqrt{2}$
