Using the figure and the data given below, find the unknown.

 

 

Here, \(AB\), \(CD\) and \(EF\) are parallel to each other. Also, \(AB\) \(=\) 6 \(cm\), \(EF\) \(=\) 8 \(cm\) and \(BD\) \(=\) 2 \(cm\). Find the values of \(x\) and \(y\).
