Kishore and Akhil work at the same office. They start for the office from their homes at $B$ and $C$, respectively, to reach office $A$. Two roads, $D$ and $E$, meets the roads $AB$ and $AC$, and $DE$ is parallel to $BC$. Their paths to the office form a triangular shape, as shown below.

 

 

1. If $AE =$ 3 $kms$, $EC =$ 8 $kms$ and $DB =$ 18 $kms$, then the length of $AD$ is 8.757.755.756.75 $kms$.

 

2. If $AD =$ 4 $kms$, $AE =$ 24 $kms$ and $AC =$ 36 $kms$, then the length of $AB$ is 8756 $kms$.

 

3. Is $DE \parallel BC$ if $AD = 6.75 \ kms$, $AE =$ 3 $kms$, $EC =$ 8 $kms$ and $DB =$ 18 $kms$?
