Prime number
Theory:
A number which has only two factors is called a
prime number
. In other words, the numbers other than \(1\) whose only factors are \(1\) and the number itself are called a
prime number
.
Example:
\(5 =\) \(1× 5\); \(23 =\) \(1 × 23\).
