Data are classified into two types. They are:
- Primary data
- Secondary data
Primary data:
The data which are collected directly by ourselves through experiments, surveys, observations, etc are called as primary data.
- Cost of vegetables in your nearest shop.
- Population census report (Collected and published by population census organization)
Example:
Secondary data:
The data gathered from a source which has been already collected in the past by someone else is called as secondary data.
- Temperature in the month of April \(2020\).
- Number of people living in India for the past \(5\) years.
