In the following schematic diagram for the preparation of hydrogen gas as shown in figure, what would happen if following changes are made?

a. In place of zinc granules, same amount of zinc dust is taken in the test tube.

The reaction is slower and the hydrogen gas evolves slowly zinc dust has a smaller surface area than zinc granules.
The reaction is faster and the hydrogen gas evolves faster since zinc dust has a larger surface area than zinc granules.

b. Instead of dilute sulphuric acid, dilute hydrochloric acid is taken.

The reaction proceeds the same as in case of sulphuric acid.
The reaction does not proceed the same as in case of sulphuric acid since hydrochloric acid is a weak acid than sulphuric acid.

c. In place of zinc, copper turnings are taken.
