If the resistance of an ammeter is high, then the resistance of the circuit will also increasecircuit will also decreasecircuit will not change. Eventually the currentresistancevoltage in the electric circuit will remain the samedecreaseincrease. Hence, the ammeter will shownot showstabilize the actual value of the current.

 

If resistance of the ammeter is low, then the resistance and the current in the circuit will not be affectedmay or may not be affectedbe affected. Hence, an ideal ammeter should have maximum resistanceminimum resistancezero resistance.
