1. Two lighted candlesextinguished candlesmelted wax of the same length are taken and are placed on the table.

2. Now, one of the candle is covered with a plastic tumblercovered with a glass tumblercovered with paper cup.

 

3. After some time, the candle covered with glass tumbler gets extinguishedplastic tumbler gets extinguishedpaper cup gets extinguished. But, the other one continues to burnextinguishedflickers.

 

This happens due to the abundance of gaslimited amount of waxlimited amount of gas which present inside the tumbler. The gas gets exhausted inside the glass, the candle stopped burningwax stopped burningcandle continues to burn. At the same time, the other candle was burning due to the fluctuating supply of the airsupply of the watercontinues supply of the air. The gas component, which supported the burning of the candle, is known as nitrogencarbonoxygen.
