The distance between two stations is 240 $km$ . A train takes 4 $h$ to cover this distance. Calculate the speed of the train.

The formula for the speed is given as

$Uniform\ motion\ =$ $\frac {Time\ period}{Speed}$
$Speed\ =$ $\frac {Distance\ travelled}{Time\ taken}$
$Speed\ =$ $\frac {1}{Time\ taken}$
$Speed\ =$ ${Time\ taken} \times{Distance\ travelled}$

On substituting the given values in the formula, we get the speed as
