Think and suggest some ways to minimise waste and pollutants at their source, taking your home as an example.

Much of the waste we generate at home is flushed down the toilet or poured into the sink. The gets worse as a result.
Sewage is typically cleaned up before being disposed of in an environment. The same body of water may satisfy the town's water needs. A few simple steps taken at home might lessen the strain the water supply system experiences when cleaning water for human consumption.

(i). Food has a lot of fats and oils, especially Indian food. Food particles should not be thrown down the drain because, when they harden, they may clog the pipes. When thrown into open drains, these clog soil pores, making soil less effective at water. Thus, only dustbins should be used to dispose of this waste.

(ii). such as used tea leaves, food scraps, plastic bags, soft toys, cotton, and sanitary towels should not be poured down the sink. Because they obstruct drains and reduce the free flow of , these wastes slow down the breakdown.
