Have you ever dug a hole near a water body and been amazed to find the soil was moist? This is because you've reached a level where all the spitslinesspaces between particles of soil and gaps between rocks are filled with water. It's a fascinating naturalartificialsynthetic phenomenon we call the water table.
The rainwater and water from other sources, such as rivers and ponds, perform a crucial task. They seep through the soil, filling the empty spaces and cracks deep below the ground. This process, known as detachdematerializeinfiltration, is the lifeline of groundwater recharge.
