Cholera:
Causes:
It is a disease that is caused by the bacteria known as Vibrio cholera, a comma-shaped bacteria.
Modes of transmission:
It is a contagious disease that spreads through the consumption of contaminated food and water.
Symptoms:
Vomiting, severe diarrhoea, and cramps in the legs are some of the symptoms.

Prevention and treatment:
- Practising good hygienic practices such as washing hands before eating.
- Avoiding the consumption of uncovered food from street vendors.
- Drinking boiled water.
- Getting vaccinated against cholera.
- Washing hands often with soap and safe water.
Typhoid:
It is a disease that is caused by Salmonella typhi, a rod-shaped bacteria. It spreads by contaminated food and water.
