Book Free DemoTemperature Conversion:
Temperatures between scales can be converted using the following equations.
Conversion of Celsius (ºC) to Fahrenheit (\(ºF\)):
The temperature (T) in degree Fahrenheit (\(ºF\)) is equal to the temperature (T) in degree Celsius (\(ºC\)) multiplied by 9/5, with 32 added to the product.
or
For example: Convert 30 °C into °F
F = C × 9/5 + 32 F
F = C × 9/5 + 32 F
= (30 × 9/5) +32 F
= (270/5) +32F
= 54 + 32F
= 86 °F
Conversion of Celsius \(ºC\) to Kelvin K:
We convert Celsius to Kelvin by adding (273) to the Celsius of temperature.
For example: Convert 100 °C into Kelvin
K = °C + 273K
K = °C + 273K
= 100 + 273 K
=373K
Conversion of Fahrenheit ºF to Celsius \(ºC\):
The formula to convert temperature T in degrees Fahrenheit (ºF) to the temperature (T) in Celsius is,
Conversion of Fahrenheit \(ºF\) to Kelvin K:
The formula to convert temperature T in degrees Fahrenheit (\(ºF\)) to the temperature (T) in Kelvin is,
Conversion of Kelvin K to Celsius \(ºC\):
We convert Kelvin to Celsius by subtracting (273) from the temperature in Kelvin.
Conversion of Kelvin K to Fahrenheit \(ºF\):
The formula to convert temperature T in Kelvin to the temperature (T) in degrees Fahrenheit (\(ºF\)) is,
