When water in the vessel is heated, water molecules at the topbottom receive heat energy and stay at topmove upward stay at bottommove downward. Then the molecules at the  bottom moves uptop comes down and get heated. This kind of heat transfer is known as convectionconductionradiation. This is how air in the atmosphere is also heated.

Here, the heat transfer takes places from high temperature to places of low temperature through empty spacewithout the actual movement of atoms or moleculesby the actual movement of molecules, and it is called radiationconvectionconduction.
