1. He took the throne at the very young age of 14, after the untimely demise of his father. He has ably supported the loyal commander of his father named “Bairam Khan”. The Over dominant character of Bairam Khan was put to an end by him, as he sent him on a religious quest and relieved him of his military duties. During his conquest of Central India, he came into a face-off against Rani Durgavati, who was a ruler of Central Province. She put up a brave fight against him. The Battle of Haldigatti was fought between the Mughal Emperor and the Mewar ruler Rana Pratap. He arranged his military structure on the lines of Chengis Khan, and also introduced a system named “Mansabdari system”. Who is this famous Mughal ruler?

 

 

2. Post the demise of his father the throne of the Mughal empire was handed over to him who ruled the empire from 1605 – 1627. He was also called “Salim” and his name means “Conqueror of the World”. He was not interested in military conquests and territorial expansion as he had his interests inclined towards Art and Architecture. His issues with Sikhs cropped up when he ordered the killing of the Fifth Sikh Guru, “Guru Arjun dev” as he was giving religious advice for the elder son of him, Khurram.
