The International Eco-tourism Society (TIES) defines eco-tourism as “responsible travel to natural areas that conserve the environment, sustains the well-being of the local people and involves interpretation and education”.
Eco-tourism is entirely a new approach in tourism to create awareness of the ecosystem. Eco-tourism is a preserving trip to natural areas where plants and animals thrive in a naturally preserved environment, to appreciate the natural and cultural history of the environment, encouraging people to take care of the fragile ecosystem and not to disturb the integrity of the ecosystem while creating economic opportunities.
