Anticyclone
As the name indicates, an anticyclone is the opposite of a cyclone. In an anticyclone, a high-pressure area is formed in the centre surrounded by low pressure. An anticyclone's winds rotate opposite to that of the cyclone, i.e. clockwise in the Northern Hemisphere.

In Anticyclone, the pressure circles' (isobars) pressures decrease by moving away from the centre. The air that comes in from above sinks to the ground. Generally, moderate weather is experienced at the high-pressure centre.
