The poem "Team Work" has been written by Edgar Guest.

 

  

Edgar Guest (\(1881\)-\(1959\)) was an American poet, but he was born in England. When Edgar was young, his family settled down in Detroit, Michigan(USA). He was fondly known as the "People's Poet" as his poems were inspirational and gave a positive outlook towards life. Edgar Guest has written around \(11,000\) poems in his life. Guest was given the title of "Poet Laureate of Michigan" - till date he is the only person to have been given the title.

  

His poems were published in newspapers, books, broadcasted in radio programmes. His popularity got him an opportunity to host radio and TV showsduring the years \(1931\)-\(1951\). Guest's works are still published occasionally in magazines like Reader's Digest.
