Book Free DemoJawaharlal Nehru, also known as 'Pandit Nehru', was born in Allahabad, British India, on 14 November 1889. He was an Indian anti-colonial nationalist, secular humanist, social democrat, and author. His father was Motilal Nehru, and his mother was Swarup Rani Thussu. Nehru did his schooling at Harrow, a leading school in England. After his schooling, he went to Trinity College in Cambridge to complete his graduation.
Nehru became a prominent leader of the Indian independence movement under the guidance of Mahatma Gandhi. He worked as the Prime Minister of India for seventeen years and received the Bharat Ratna award in 1955.

Nehru passed away on 27 May 1964 at the age of seventy-four.
