Magazine is a periodical publication which contains articles and photographs. The earliest example of magazines was published in the $XVII$ century. There are all sorts of magazines on various topics: art, cooking, music, literature, IT, computer games, fashion, health, etc. Unlike newspapers, magazines aren’t usually published daily or weekly. In most cases they are released monthly.

 

Typically magazines explore topics deeper than newspapers and concentrate on the wide picture, trends. Literature magazines publish prose and poetry and often help readers to find new writers. This type of magazine can be a good start for a young author. Men's magazines cover politics, fishing, men’s clothes, fitness, etc. Women's magazines focus on relationships, art, fashion, health, etc. Youth magazines write about music, films, celebrities, relationships, romance and beauty.

 

Also there are specialized magazines that dwell on topics that are interesting for certain groups of readers. For example, medical, technical, religious magazines or magazines about photography.
