To speak about country life, you need the appropriate vocabulary. Part 4
Domestic - relating to a person's own country;
Construction - the work of building or making something, especially buildings, bridges, etc;
Bush - a plant with many small branches growing either directly from the ground or from a hard stem, giving the plant a rounded shape;
Clearing - an area in a wood or forest from which trees and bushes have been removed;
Scenery - the general appearance of the natural environment, especially when it is beautiful;
Fence - a structure that divides two areas of land, similar to a wall but made of wood or wire and supported with posts;
Forest - a large area of land covered with trees and plants, usually larger than a wood, or the trees and plants themselves;
Hedge - a line of bushes or small trees planted very close together, especially along the edge of a garden, field, or road;
Hill - an area of land that is higher than the surrounding land;
Hunter - a person or an animal that hunts animals for food or for sport;
Hunting - chasing and killing an animal or bird for food, sport, or profit;
Landscape - a large area of countryside, especially in relation to its appearance;
Path - a route or track between one place and another, or the direction in which something is moving;
River - a natural wide flow of fresh water across the land into the sea, a lake, or another river.
Examples:
The bridge is a marvellous work of engineering and construction.
She pulled the bush out of the ground with a sharp jerk.
They stopped at the top of the hill to admire the scenery.
A fierce fire is still raging through the forest, burning everything in its path.
Their house is on the top of a hill.
