14. Operations with mixed fractions

1) Kiran went to shopping along with his three friends to buy cloth for stitching. The cloth needed for stitching is $4\frac{2}{3}$ meters, $11\frac{1}{2}$ meters and $5\frac{1}{4}$ meters, respectively. Find the total length of the cloth needed to be purchased.

 

Answer: $\frac{i}{i}$ meters.

2) Geetha bought $11\frac{1}{2}$ litres of water. She drank $3\frac{1}{4}$ litres of water. Find the quantity of water left behind.

4) A water bottle containing $4\frac{6}{6}$ litres of water is poured into $2\frac{3}{6}$ litres bottles. How many bottles are required to fill $4\frac{6}{6}$ litres of water? .
