Judge the equivalent resistance when the following are connected in parallel – (a) $1\ Ω$ and $10^{6}\ Ω$ , (b) $1\ Ω$ and $10^{3}\ Ω$ , and $10^{6}\ Ω$ .

a. The equivalent resistance when

$1\ Ω$ and

$10^{6}\ Ω$ connected in parallel is given by

$\begin{array}{l} \frac{1}{R} = \frac{i}{i} + \frac{i}{i^{i}} \\ R = i Ω \end{array}$

b. The equivalent resistance when

$1\ Ω$ ,

$10^{3}\ Ω$ and

$10^{6}\ Ω$ connected in parallel is given by
