3. Rocket

There are four main systems or components in a rocket. They are

 

1. Structural system:
The structural system is the frame that acts as a cover and protects the rocket from the outer elements. It is made of materials that are both very powerful and lightweight solid, such as titanium or aluminium. Metallic fins-like structures are connected to some rockets at the bottom of the frame to maintain stability during flight.

 

 

2. Payload system:
The payload is the object transported into orbit by the satellite. The mission of the rocket determines the payload. The rockets have been adapted to launch satellites for various missions, including communications, weather forecasting, spying, planetary exploration, and observatories. Special rockets are now being designed to send people into earth's orbit and onto the moon's surface.

 

 

3. Guidance system:
The guidance system includes sensors, onboard computers, radars, and communication equipment. This system guides the course of the rocket.

 

 

4. Propulsion system:
The propulsion system takes up the majority of a rocket's volume. Fuel or propellant tanks, pumps, and a combustion chamber make up the propulsion system. Propulsion systems are divided into two categories, namely, liquid propulsion system and solid propulsion system.
